As the images clearly show due the activation of the sprinkler system minimal fire\, smoke damage was sustained in the premises resulting in minimal impact to the business. \nOne fast response sprinkler head actuated\, raising the alarm with no injuries reported. \nThis incident clearly identifies the importance of installing sprinklers as part of a holistic approach for business continuity. \nThe inclusion of a commercial sprinkler system has been proven to: – \n\nPrevent major financial loss to the business hospitality community\nPreventing a potential major incident and reducing it to only a minor inconvenience\n\nThe harsh reality of fire was brought home in the Business Sprinkler Alliance article focusing on a children’s clothing brand whose business was devastated by fire in their original unsprinklered facility. Their new completed facility has been rebuilt with a sprinkler system which is credit to their business\, however as the BSA point out: – \n“To prevent similar scenarios from occurring businesses need to be more proactive\, making informed business resilience decisions to safeguard themselves from fire’s devastating effects” \nLinks \n\nBritish Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association: – Focus magazine\, Sprinklers highlight the difference between two fires\nBusiness Sprinkler Alliance:- Children’s business reopens in new unsprinklered warehouse after fire destroyed original premises\nMerseyside Fire & Fire Rescue:- latest incidents\n\n  \n  \n  \n
