LFB have reported the above-mentioned incident to promote the many benefits sprinklers can bring protecting tall building fires by the installation of sprinklers.

The Incident

• The alarm was raised following the activation of the residential sprinkler system within a flat
• Ignition source, smoking materials
• Two sprinkler heads activated controlling, extinguishing the fire to room of origin
• No further firefighting was required on arrival by the LFB
