South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service have reported the above-mentioned incident resulting in the activation of the premises residential sprinkler system

Incident
- On arrival crews established that the premises residential fire sprinkler system actuated on the 10th floor, involving a chip pan fire left unattended
- The occupier had fallen asleep, alerted by the activation of the premises fire alarm system, the tenant immediately shut the kitchen door containing the fire to compartment of origin
- The heat activated the sprinkler head which contained, controlled the fire before the arrival of operational crews
- Upon entry operational crews extinguished the fire
- No injuries were reported with
